Jyothi Biogas & Rural social service centre was organized in the year 1990 with the aim of generating biogas in rural and urban areas by constructing biogas plants. Mr. A Alfred is the Secretary of the centre. State level awards for energy conservation are presented to the centre by the Government of Kerala which has approved the organization as a turnkey agent. Over 800 Biogas plants have been constructed by the centre in all over India during the past 30+ years.
